Winter Sun: Chap 5The sunlight shining through your windows woke you up the next morning. You squinted and sat up and yawned. You smiled and hugged your knees to your chest. You and Ivan kissed last night. Your stomach flip flopped at the memory. You frowned for a second. You didn't react like this when you kissed other men. You smiled again and thought, They weren't Vonya. You brushed the thoughts of your past sweethearts out of your mind and you got up. You put on your dress and apron and put your cap on and you got to work. You couldn't wait for this afternoon.

Winter Sun: Chap 10Dimitri drove for what seemed like days. But, it only felt that way because you couldn't fall asleep in the car. You frowned at Alisa and Alexey in the back seat. They were still out. You sighed and leaned your head back on the seat.

"Why do you want to talk to me Dima?" you asked.

Dimitri's face remained stoic and he kept looking at the road. You almost growled. You hated it when he did this. You made it to Volgograd very late that night. You yawned and guessed that it was just before dawn. Alisa and Alexey woke up in the back.
